It's funny where life takes you sometimes you know. With Quinn's situation and me not being able to go out and work I had to come up with some way of earning an income, especially with Quinn needing more surgery in New York and all of his needs related to his Autism treatment.
I was looking at him giggling one day and he had on a RockStar shirt and then it hit me. If there is anything I know it is clothes and one of the things I have always had a hard time with is finding cool clothes, especially for boys. Where we live we have 3 big department stores and the choices for boys especially are well.....less than appealing.
I did some research and with my background as a powerseller selling used kids clothes on Ebay I decided I wanted to open my own online store. I began using a dropshipper on ebay to earn money to create an inventory of clothing which I am still only about 10% finished listing. I've discovered I love doing this and if I can raise some money for Quinn or even an income of sorts I'm going for it. It has been hard work but it is open but the cupboards are still a bit bare as I list daily the many many things we have to offer. I even found the perfect spokesmodel. You guessed it Mr Mighty Quinn himself and I hope that other members of the PHACE Syndrome Community will allow their children to model as well. You know me I will take any opportunity to raise awareness for PHACE Syndrome,hemangiomas, Pediatric Stroke and Autism.
I am in process of creating my own line which will be couture styled with lots of Rock elements but also inspirational ones as well. I have also designed couture inspired awareness clothing for PHACE Syndrome, Autism, Stroke and Vascular Anomalies such as Hemangiomas. My thought is that by modernizing the style of awareness clothing more people will wear it and the word will be spread. Awareness shirts don't have to be sad or boring, they can be funny, cool and inspiring and actually look like something you want to wear while still getting the point across. A large portion of the proceeds from these couture awareness shirts will go to organizations that have helped Quinn. With so many people having helped us, I intend to PAY IT FORWARD as best I can.
So come and have a look, it is still a work in progress and I have literally (sigh) hundreds of items to list and will do so each day if possible so keep checking and you will see that we will have a wide range of items including Maternity Wear, Mens, Womens, kids up to age 12 and of course our specialty babies and toddlers.
I have made numerous business connections and 95% of them are with other small mom operations. We are all helping each other out. I even have some AMAZING hand sewn creations that will blow you away!
